Things to do in Branson, Missouri

  • collagecTheme parks: Branson is home to theme parks that will thrill kids of all ages. Silver Dollar City is a spirited homage to the music, food and crafts of 1890s America. The 12-acre White Water offers water rides and attractions ranging from mild to wild.

  • Shows! Shows! Shows!: Branson is often called the "Live Entertainment Capital of the World" for its variety of music shows ranging from country, pop and rock to swing, classical and gospel. Branson is home to more than 45 theaters and names that have recently graced the marquees include Andy Williams, Alison Krauss, LeAnn Rimes and Yakov Smirnoff.

  • Shopping: Branson is a shopper's paradise, with hundreds of shops offering everything from clothing and jewelry to housewares and crafts. And bargain hunters will delight at the three factory outlet malls with more than 200 stores.

Branson is also home to nine 18-hole golf courses. But before hitting the water or the greens, gear up at Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World in nearby Springfield, featuring more than 300,000 square feet of clothing and gear.

  • Museums: Branson is home to collections that honor every aspect of the human spirit. Explore the life of one of the Silver Screen's most beloved couples at The Roy Rogers-Dale Evans Museum. Marvel at bizarre accomplishments of man (and nature) at Ripley's Believe It or Not! And the figures at Hollywood Wax Museum are so lifelike you'll be tempted to ask for an autograph.
